When I started writing daily emails I expected to lose a LOT of subscribers.
But I knew I needed to start writing daily in the same way some people need to go for a run and some other people need to go pee at 3 o'clock in the morning.
I knew there was a cost - it would annoy some people and they'd unsubscribe.
But I only ever want to write to people who enjoy hearing from me, so that's okay.
Good news ... the numbers are better than I feared:
- Before I started writing, I had 3200ish subscribers.
- I currently have 2950 subscribers - and that includes you!
According to the dashboard on ghost (my website and newsletter host) I've got an 80% "engagement rate". Not sure exactly what that measures, but the average is between 30% and 40%. So, that's heartening!
I get to write. And you don't hate me!
Thank you so much for hanging around ... 🤗
Even if we don't know each other personally, it means a lot to me.
BTW: If you dislike my stuff, you can unsubscribe down below, or switch to the weekend summary.
But before you go ... why not annoy an enemy and send them to clarkeching.com where they can subscribe.
