Hello again!
I have almost decided—though I'm not 100% there yet—to turn my Bottleneck Detective Bootcamp into a short‘n’snappy book to sell on Amazon.
Short as in 7000 words.
Short‘n’snappy … like a baby crocodile 🐊.
This isn't directly about selling and making money—non-fiction books rarely make much—it's about spreading my ideas far and wide. And Amazon is a great way to do that, especially for established authors. The bootcamp email course is 5,o00 words, so I'm already more than half way there! It will help market my consulting work too —so in a way, it is about the money too 🤔.
The idea came up as I started working on a short book or whitepaper about TOC Timer Teams, fired up by the positive response to last week’s webinar.
But writing a book is brutal worl 🤯, and I quickly found myself busy doing other less challenging, less important things ... i.e. procrastinating.
I am especially good at procrastinating, so I almost and very nearly spontaneously announced my new coaching/mentoring offer last week.
But then I remembered how energized I felt while creating the Bottleneck Detective Bootcamp email course—writing 500-600 words a day, staying just a step or two ahead of my readers.
So, I’m taking that approach again: writing it progressively, one small piece at a time.
A bit like an Agile project, with a team of one.
I'm sure I can keep these two writing projects running productively in parallel. I'll announce the new offer soon, though—not this week, maybe next week, maybe the week after. (Sooooo good at procrastinating!)
Thank's for Being Here
I hope you get a lor of value out of this newsletter. It has become my little safe place where I can share these projects with you all. Thanks for sticking around, offering feedback, and helping me spread the word. I’ll keep you updated.
Best,
Clarke
