Hello again from New Zealand (and from substack1, my new newsletter host),
This note is a quick heads-up that, starting in a couple of weeks, I’m running a free 6-month-long program that will help me introduce you to the Agile-Toc Method (ATM), and its Thrive model:
I have spent many, many hours putting the ATM together, ruthlessly distilling it down into the Thrive model (above).
And, while I hope you get a sense of what it’s all about by studying it, there are less than 50 words in the model and some of them are (deliberately) a little cryptic, so … it probably provokes more questions than it answers.
Which means I need to write and share more words.
So, I started outlining a new book that describes it, but then my head exploded 🤯.
Because, it turns out, I find writing books to be hard, hard work.
So I stopped doing that.
But then, after a few weeks of not thinking about it, a light-bulb 💡came on, and I realized I already had a book about the ATM.
This one:
The only problem with Rolling Rocks Downhill is that it’s a business novel, so it’s like a flight simulator for ATM, and I need to write more words to connect it to the ATM.
So … I came up with a way that’s easier for me to write, and share, those extra words, over time.
Here’s, the plan;
- I’ll teach you the ATM and Thrive using Rolling Rocks Downhill, my Agile ToC business novel,
- by emailing you 1, 2 or 3 chapters, each week,
- plus “commentary” emails that join the two up,
- for free.
I think you’ll find this useful.
And fascinating - especially the stuff on “quiet change”, the topmost bubble in the Thrive Model.
And, since it’s dripped out over time, easy to consume.
I’ll let you know how to “sign up” sometime next week.

I switched to substack because it’s so much easier to use than all the other online email and newsletter services I’ve tried to use over the years - MailChimp, ConvertKit, MailerLite, Squarespace, LinkedIn newsletters, and probably others.
I hated - yes, HATED - using all of them and I found that I stopped sharing stuff, just so that I didn’t have to use them.
Substack is not perfect but it is definitely easier to use. So far. Wish me luck 🤞! ↩
