My new book - "The Bottleneck Detective" launches on December 12th!!!!

Phew.

I'm wondering ... can you help me ENORMOUSLY by preordering it?

Preorders encourage Amazon to recommend it to other readers, and they help set the book up for success.

It’s 99 cents.

Order here: amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, Amazon.com.au

Here's the cover, down below is the back story, the preorder links (again!), and last week‘s posts (on selling yourself and your ideas):

Here's the funny thing: it didn't start as a book at all. I originally created a daily writing challenge for myself to build a writing habit. That turned into an email course, and your wonderful feedback about how helpful it was made me think: maybe this should be a book?

Then I realized December 12th is exactly 10 years since I published "Rolling Rocks Downhill," and well … well, here we are!

I made a very deliberate choice with this book: it's concise.

If you've ever tried to read "The Goal" (the original theory of constraints book), you'll know it's a brilliant but lengthy read. While I love that book, I stopped recommending it because most people found it too long to finish. "The Bottleneck Detective" is less than a tenth of the size, modern, and designed for today's businesses.

The core message is simple but powerful: switching your mindset from saving money to making money through understanding bottlenecks. Why? Because healthier businesses make better communities.

My daughter helped with the editing, and we've worked hard to make every page count.

Just to be totally upfront:

  • You can pre-order now for 99¢
  • Amazon will deliver it to your Kindle on December 12th
  • The price will go up after launch
  • I'll probably make it free on my website sometime next year (I write to help people and I try to be as generous as I possibly can.)
  • I'm working on a paperback version too.

My sales pitch: for anyone who values time and wants the essentials of bottleneck thinking without the fluff, this is for you.

The links again!

Thank you for even considering this. It means a lot.

Clarke

p.s. I'm planning a live launch party, for December 10th. Details to follow.

Here's what I talked about this week:

Selling Ideas, Part 3: The Five Lightbulbs 💡💡💡💡💡
Let me quickly introduce you to Billy Broas’s Five Lightbulbs marketing framework, which I learned about two or three years ago and have used ever since. It’s a simple marketing framework for people like me who need to sell their ideas, services and products. Note: * I’m neither licensed nor

💡 Selling Ideas Part 4: “Tired? Come on in.”
Years ago, I was walking to work when I saw a sign outside a shop that read: “Tired? Come on in.” It caught my attention immediately. Why? Because I was tired! It nailed Billy Broas’s Lightbulb 1: “We get you- you’re tired! It also implied Lightbulb 5: “We know what

Using Billy Broess’ 5 Lightbulbs to Structure My Latest TOC
This might be the most useful thing I’ve shared ... Hey everyone! I’m doing something a bit different with this post - it’s both (gobsmackingly) educational and (transparently) promotional. I want to share how I used Billy Broess’ 5 Lightbulbs framework to structure my latest offering. (Even if you’
